General Description
The Barbet is a rare French Water dog. They have a round head with a short nose bridge. The Barbet is a powerful dog with a strong short neck. Its thick coat is good for cold weather and swimming which it loves to do. The coat has a wooly texture to it and can be wavy or curly. The Barbet can be black, brown, white, grey, sable or fawn. There are no markings on this lovable family dog. The Barbet is a good hunter and is also used as a sheep dog.

This breed is intelligent and obedient. They are happy, carefree and are a good family dog. They love to play and will fetch for hours.
