Are they all little "Hoovers" when they eat? Our's just "Hoovers" up his food then vomits. We have resorted to giving him 1/2 his portion at 10 -15 min. between each 1/2 portion to keep him from vomiting. We should have changed his name to "Hoover or Kirby" Are they all like this?

not really mines name is vetio and he tends to over eat regularly then ends up puking all over the place plus he use 2 eat the cat food so he got chubby! but now hes on regular diet and i feed him less food at 1 time so he hasent puked recently

How much do they shed?

Ours sheds a ton. White hair on blue couch = unhappy wife. Good thing we love him so much!

Is it common for these dogs to have dirty ears?

They can have dirty ears just like any other floppy ear dog.
They are low to the ground so there for more potential to dirty ears.
All you have to do it take care of it.

Is the basset artesian normand a drool offender and if so comparable to what breed?

My dog rarely drools. I think she only drools when she is hot.
