General Description
The Olde English Bulldogge is a cute dog with a face full of emotions. From their large square comes a short rectangular muzzle ending with a large black nose and both their lips are loose and hang down pass their mouth. Huge round eyes give this breed a babyish look that is irresistible to many people. Hanging off the side of their head are two small ears. A thick neck with a dewlap leads to their immensely broad shoulders, deep chest, and slightly sunken belly. Short stocky legs make this breeds look unproportioned and lead to large round feet.Know something we don't? Add it here
Character
The Olde English Bulldogge is a sweet dog but can also be protective over their family and property. Great with children and family members, this breed loves to please and to be with their family at all times. However, with strangers this breed varies: some of them love strangers, some ignore them, and others may be aggressive towards them. This range of possibilities makes it essential to socialize them thoroughly at a young age.

General Health
The Olde English Bulldogge is fairly healthy especially compared to the English Bulldog. The main concerns for this breed are bloat and hip dysplasia; however, hip dysplasia is being bred out of this breed. Their life expectancy is 11 years and up.
History
The Olde English Bulldogge is a relatively new breed created by David Leavitt who wanted to create a bulldog without the health issues most of them seem to have. By combining several types of dogs, including pit bulls and American Bulldogs, he was able to develop this breed. While this breed is a vast improvement in terms of health concerns, they will never be able to run marathons but they will have a better quality of life and maybe a few extra years of enjoying their owner’s companionship.
Maintenance
Grooming is not needed for the Olde English Bulldogge because their coat is very thin and smooth. Exercise for all dogs is necessary, but this breed does not require much. Short walks are enough to keep this breed happy and healthy, plus too much exercise can be very hard on this breed.
Ideal Environment
The Olde English Bulldogge is a sweet dog that loves their family and does well with children. However, socialization is necessary because this breed can be aggressive towards strangers or sweet and loving so encouragement towards the latter is important. Close watch should be kept on their diet so they do not eat too much at one time because they are prone to bloat which can be deadly. Exercise is needed but not as much as many breeds because they can overexert themselves fairly easily. Walks are enough exercise for this breed. Living inside an apartment is fine for this calm house dog. The Olde English Bulldogge does not do well in extreme climate conditions.
