History

There isn\'t much history available on this designer breed as of yet. It is believed it was introduced in the 90\'s. It is a cross between the American Eskimo dog and the Beagle. The American Eskimo origination is not known either, but were used in circus acts in the early 1900\'s. The Beagle can be traced back to the 1500\'s where they were used by Englishmen for hunting rabbit and other small animals. Today they have been used for sniffing out drugs due to their keen sense of smell.

Maintenance

They shed, so regular brushing is advised. Since they have floppy ears, check them on a regular basis for any debris or infection. Keeping the canal clean and dry is important for this dog.

Dog Training!

If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of DogProblems.com. Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site. Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.
