I feed Bentley (my 8 month old chorkie - 1/4 chi and 3/4 yorkie) twice a day a little less than 1/3 of a cup of Blue Buffalo Small Breed Puppy food. He seems to like it :)

Most vets will tell you to leave food down all the time for the chorkie, especially if its a small in size one because they know when they are hungry and when they are full and since they are small if they miss a meal they can have a huge drop in the blood sugar and it can cause major issues. However, i treat my 4lb chorkie just like any other dog. I feed him a half a cup in the am and half a cup in the pm because his size that is all he needs. AND sometimes i do just combine the two so a whole cup and put that in his bowl and leave it down for the day. But since i have him on a pooping and peeing schedule (that works amazing and keeps him house broken) i dont like to break that so i take up his food and water at night every night by 6:30pm so that i dont have any presents waiting for me when i wake up. And usually hes good and i take him out as soon as i get up and he does BOTH 1 & 2. Works well!
