The Peagle is known to suffer from cherry eye, epilepsy, skin infections, luxating patellas and back ailments. Because they are bred from Pekingese, they are suffer from respiratory issues.

Maintenance


This breed only needs occasional baths, ear cleaning, tooth brushing and nail trimming. They are known to have heavy discharge from their eyes on a daily basis. This is healthy, but needs to be wiped away to prevent staining. This breed is considered a heavy shedder.
