Chi-Chons are very loveable and enjoy being around their owners. They love to play, but will also jump up on your lap for petting. Some can be shy around strangers. Most are not huge "barkers", but will not hesitate to if alarmed.
Chi-Chons require brushing every other day to prevent matting. There is no need to shave hair but trimming around the eyes is ok. The nails should be trimmed about every 6 weeks and they should be bathed at least every 4 weeks. Chi-Chons are very low shedding and hypo-allergenic.
Chi-Chons need their daily dose of exercise.....a walk and some play time with their owners. They need to release energy and should come down after they have exercised.

5kg white, fluffy, bundle of fun. Very soft hair needs trimming every 6 weeks. Long torso, short stumpy legs, expressive tail, big black eyes, floppy ears and a beautiful face.
Can happily go on hour long walks a couple of times a week. Loves to sniff the world around him. Is fine with little old ladies coming up to him and patting hime. Doesn't like other dogs that much and hates cats and squirrels - passionately.
Loves to blitz around the house, loves to be tickled, loves to snooze with you in front of the tv.

We welcomed Oscat & Kya (brother & sister) into our home at 8 weeks old. The 2 could not be more different. Oscar is 12 pounds, short wirey hair. The cutest little "raggle muffin". Kya is 8 pounds, long fleecy hair.
Their personalities could not be more different. Oscar is full of life. He could plat with a ball alone for hours, throwing it up in the air... then wants to snuggle. He loves his momma! Smart as a whip. Responds well to training. Kya is a fiesty little diva, with a stubborn streak. We're having a little power struggle for "pack leader". Very affectionate. Cute as a button! It's a busy household, alot of work. I wouldn't change a thing!
