About the Daug

The Daug is a hybrid dog that is made up of a combination of two different purebreeds. It's a cross between the Dachshund and the Pug. We've found the best method for understanding the characteristics of the Daug is to read both of its ancestors descriptions taking note of their temperaments, size and general look.

*All hybrid content is user generated and edited by our staff. If you know a lot about the Daug breed, please feel free to share what you know with our users. Please try to be as factual and well written as possible. Quality information will promote the growth of the breed.

General Description

Most have a long body that is close to the ground with a Pug like face. They come in brown and black. Their hair is short like that of the Dachshund. Their ears are mid-sized and are not as large as a Dachshund. They usually have curly, Pug-like tails.

Dog Training!

If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of DogProblems.com.  Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site.

Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.
