The Peek A Poo is hybrid breed that is a cross between miniature poodles and Pekingese. The breed is also sometimes referred to as Peke a Poo or PekaPoo. The goal of producing this breed was to result in a dog that carried mixed traits from both breeds, including the non-shedding coat of the poodle. Prospective owners should be aware that his breed is not eligible to be registered with a purebred registry because it is a mixed breed. There is now a hybrid club that does register hybrid breeds. Like many designer breeds of dogs, the Peek A Poo has become very popular in the last few years. One of the reasons for this is its non-shedding coat; which is in demand among allergy sufferers. It is also much in demand among people who are looking for a small, affectionate dog.

The coat of this breed is soft and feels much like cotton. The coat may be brown, white, silver, black or a mixture of those colors. The coat of this dog produces very little dander and sheds little to none. The coat tends to be medium to long in terms of length and will require weekly combing and brushing to maintain.

The build of the Peek A Poo can vary, based upon which parent it takes after, but most dogs have the flat skull of the Pekingese along with the large eyes of the Pekingese while taking the long, narrow muzzle from the Poodle.

Also known as a Pekepoo, Peke-A-Poo, PeekaPoo, Peek-A-Poo.

This dog gets along with other pets and children, especially when socialized at a young age. It is a good idea to supervise young children when they play with this dog to make sure the dog does not get hurt as a result of its small size. This is very much a lap dog that likes nothing better to sit and cuddle with its owner.
