now she acts like she has painactts.she didnt before.and she also seems to blow snot alot.They seem to be worried about her and called everyday checking on her .should i have her checked out by another vet?also they said her tusse was like water.

I have heard a lot about these giant beautiful dogs. I have wanted a Mastiff since I was a little girl and now I have the ability to get one. Although I already have two other dogs, an American Bulldog and an American Bulldog/ Boxer mix. Before I go and get a Mastiff I would like to make sure that it is highly unlikely that he will hurt either one of my other dogs due to aggression? I know how large of a dog this is, and I am more than willing to take him to training classes and socialize with him with other people as well as animals. Will this be enough to ensure that he won't attack my two other dogs?

I own an 18 month old male German Shorthair. He appears to be very healthy and is fed premium dog food. He currently weighs 52 pounds and measures 23 to 24 inches at the withers. Does anyone know what he may weight at full maturity? My concern he is not within the breed standard yet.

My Chorkie has recently started vomitting a lot more; it's a yellowish-whiteish coloring. And he is scratching more and shedding more; keeping in mind he never sheds. My quesiton is there something medically wrong with him?

As a 'mother' to Daisy, first birthday a day away; don't do what I did. As Daisy is an outdoor/farm dog I left her through her first year with a full coat. Now, in February-when the nights are too cold for clipping I have 65 pounds of dog with a fluffy coat of about 5-6 inches in length and six more weeks before I can do anything with it. Although she is a sweet dog, she doesn't like her hair pulled and gets mouthy when I brush her. A horse's mane and tail brush works better than a dog brush and I have purchased horse clippers as well for the spring clip. As I see it 'today' she will have to be crosstied (with a large collar cinching around her flanks) in the stock trailer in addition to being clipped to her grooming stand. Yes, i have made a point of grooming her from the day I brought her home. She loves baths and jumps readily to her grooming table. Any out there who are ahead of me on the self help grooming, I'm open to ideas.

Yes, I am buying my first ever puppy today, a morkie, and I have NO clue what to do. I have an 8 year old cat who is very loving and I dont know how to integrate them? When is too soon? Is this puppy only allowed certain food for a few months? I also work 11am-7pm most days of the week and will this be ok? I am off for the next three days so I am going to do as much as I can with her but still I would really appreciate some direction!!

I am single, over 45 (not much), and have no two-legged children, only four-legged ones. I have two mixed-breed dogs whom I love dearly! They are both female, ages almost 16 (38 lb hound/choc lab mix) and 13 (rat terrier/chihuahua mix). I cannot imagine being without either of them, but I know that altho they are both healthy considering their ages it is inevitable in the near future to lose one or both of them. I fully intend to eventually get a Yorkie Poo. My current two are very close to each other and adore each other; they eat together and sleep together. They have been together their whole lives. The older is very jealous of the younger (when it comes to me) and treats her like a mean big sister would a little sister. But only she can be mean to the little one! Any other dog is not allowed to do so! They are both also VERY attached to me; clingly would be a better word! I have heard that it is best to get a new puppy while you still have a dog to be the mentor. However, when wld be the best time for me to get a Yorkie Poo puppy given my current dog circumstances; when I only have one dog left (and I know the one left will hugely mourn the one lost), after they are both gone, or while I still have them both??? I am really torn about what is the best thing to do!

Hi. I am very excited that my boyfriend and I have decided to get a puppy and am considering a Multipoo! We have a friend that breeds them. We live in an apartment that is about 900 square feet. The dog would be alone for about 8 hours 4 times a week. The woman selling the dogs tells us this is completely fine....I am curious is you agree? Other than these times the dog will be very loved and we spend alot of time at home! It is possible that on occassion (once a week at most) that our puppy would be home a little longer than 8 hours.

My pug just turned 7 yrs old. Her right eye is irritated and weaping all of the time. This may sound stupid but I have been laid off work and can not afford a vet bill. Is there something at home I can do to make it better? Thank you for your time

Does anyone have a min. schnoxie as well as cats and how does the dog get along with the cats? Considering purchasing a schnoxie but we have a Siamese and another very large cat (probably larger than the schnoxie will grow to). Thanks!! Gary

I got a puppy 6 months ago from a car repair place in garden grove .He was very stout then and now the guy i got him from said his mom was a $1600 blue bully pit .A buddy of mine got his brother and he is 7 months and 52 lbs ,mine is 7 months and 74lbs .His was the runt of the litter . I feed him good food Kirkland dog food not the best but good dog food . Any way i am kind of wondering how big hes going to get . when i got him i figured 75 to 80 lbs LOL . I know everyone ask this and without knowing for sure what he is its hard to know .But if anyone out there had a bully pit that weighed 75 lbs at 7 months . they could give me a good idea of what size he might be . thank you

I have recently adopted a one year old MALTESE AND SHE IS THE LIGHT OF MY LIFE, BUT SHE IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GROOM...SHE THINKS IT IS PLAYTIME, AND WILL NOT COOPERATE AT ALL. I WANT TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF HER, but I am 81 years old, and she can be a handful...Can anyone offer suggestions...I don't really think she minds the hairbrush, but is just so full of energy, and won't cooperate..
