My 2 year A-D licks all the time! Especially our other 10 month old pup. He is very responsive when we tell him not to lick. Our 2 year old A-D used to lick a lot but he was very responsive to being told "no lick". He is extremely affectionate and would love to lick but since I have seen some of the other things he puts in his mouth we discourage it. He is extremely easy to train. I have found that they are very affectionate in this way, Our Aussiedoodle licks constantly!!!!! It is almost to the point where it gets really annoying and obsessive-like. Don't most all dogs lick a lot? My AD licks mostly when someone has just exercised and is sweaty. Mine does not lick much at all. The only people he tends to lick are men. I think it's a dominance thing. He is very trainable with consistency and if all else fails we use a can of air called pet corrector and one or two shots is all it take to correct a problem.
