(Bolognese and Shih-Tzu mix) The Bolo-Tzu is a toy sized dog, but comes with a strong built frame. The muzzle is short and may have a small nose. It can sport a medium to long coat length. Both parent breeds are known to be hypoallergenic.
add infoThe Bolo-Tzu is petite and may be a bit too small for little children. This hybrid, however, makes a great family pet when older gentle children are involved. The Bolo-Tzu is friendly and playful and not prone to barking. As a side note potty training may be difficult as this is inherent of both parent breeds.
add infoThe Bolognese originated in Bologna, Italy. It is believed to be related to the Bichon Frise. The Shih Tzu is from Tibet. Known to China as the little lion, they were kept by royalty as companion dogs.
add infoThe medium to long coat of the Bolo-Tzu requires regular brushing to keep the coat tangle free. Do not bathe often as bathing will deplete the natural oils of this beautiful coat. Some trimming may be needed.
add infoSince this hybrid may have a tiny nose, be aware of the possibility of breathing issues. Because of this, strenuous activity is not advised. They are active, so short walks and playtime is in order. They make great little apartment dwellers.
