(Bolognese and Poodle mix) The Bolonoodle is a small hybrid. The coat can be curly as the Poodle, or soft with waves. The colors can vary greatly. The snout may be elongated like the poodle parent breed or more squared off as is the Bolognese. This is an intelligent dog and will do well in most households.
The Bolonoodle was first introduced in 2005. The Bolognese is believed to have been developed from the Bichon Frise. Bred in Bologna Italy, they were cherished lap dogs of royalty. The Poodle has history as a water fowl retriever. Introduced in Germany, the breed was developed in France.
Regular brushing will be part of this hybrids grooming routine. When bathing, use a gentle product as they can be prone to allergies. An occasional trip to the groomer for trimming will keep the coat from becoming to long and tangling.
Since the Bolonoodle is a small dog, he will do well in apartment living. He is intelligent so teaching your pet tricks will help to stimulate his senses. Short walks and a little playtime indoors, or at a park should suffice.
If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of DogProblems.com. Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site.
Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.
Can look very different depending on the cut. She has lived in 4 different states (Missouri, Texas, South Carolina and Kansas) this was the first month in SC where the humidity made her very hot. She seemed to love the freedom of no hair.
