The Boxapoint have the characteristics of the Boxer and use it's front paws to "box" when playing. These dogs tend to point when they hear something. This is obviously from the German Shorthaired pointer instinct. Boxapoints tend to be very playful and make wonderful watchdogs. They have extremely powerful jaws and can destroy their toys fairly quickly.
The Boxapoint has a gentle, sweet and loving disposition. It adores time spent with family and is eager to please. The Boxapoint needs plenty of exercise and loves to play. During their first year, it's hard to get it to do anything else. This breed is not aggressive with people, children or other dogs. The Boxapoint is an excellent family and companion breed.
Boxapoints prefer to live indoors. They don't do well with extremes of hot and cold. They will become cold very quickly in cold weather because they have a very short coat.
If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of DogProblems.com. Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site.
Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.

Description:
Beau is a boxapoint that we adopted at 6 weeks old. He is a very smart dog and was house trained in 2 days with very few accidents ever. He is great with commands and can sit, stay, laydown, speak, and play dead. He is very friendly and has tons of energy. Loves to play with tennis balls and is a good jumper. He is very social and just the best dog.
