This breed looks very similar to a Bullmastiff at first glance, but is like to have better defined muscle mass, a larger head and bigger ears similar to that of the Dogue de Bordeaux.
This breed is very intelligent, calm and quiet. It is important to start training and socialization from birth. Once they respect their owner they are respectful, loyal and loving. They strive to please their owners and some enjoy attempting to be lap dogs. Very playful and curious breed. They love children and play with them. They are full of energy and sometimes it is better to take them for a walk then let them demolish your furniture and eat you inside plants. If left alone indoor for some time they are going to do some damage to your property, if anything they going to cut off your cables around the house. Generally, very interesting breed for those who like adventures but without leaving their home.
If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of DogProblems.com. Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site.
Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.
Big friendly giant, never asks for anything (but we do) can be stubborn and protective but wouldn't hurt a fly. His bf is our cat Bilbo they snuggle and bath eachother. He isn't good in the heat have to clean between folds of skin. Great with my 1 year old. Doesn't need long walks. Eats alot and drinks alot. Love him to bits

Description:
My Bullmastiff/Dogue De Bordeaux's name is BUCHO. He is quite the character! We got him when he was 9 weeks old. We started obedience training with him at 6 months and he responded to the training very well. He is a good dog for an apartment and small home. They will try to be the boss when you let them, its important to train a dog this size with this much muscle mass. He thinks he's a lapdog and loves to cuddle. He listens very well and responds well to commands. He was already travel and crate trained when we got him from the breeder. His head is dominant and large per his father (dogue de bordeaux) and his general body size is per his mother (bull mastiff) He is now 120lbs at 1.5yrs. His full growth will stop by 3 yrs old.

Name:
Buster
Color:
Fawn
Description:
Buster is an offspring of a cross between a bullmastiff (f) and a Dogue de Bordeaux (m). I got him at age 5weeks and have since raised him. He currently is approximately 14months olds and seems to possess a docile temperament. I intend working with him to overcome this percieved weakness (as he displays a morbid fear for venturing into the outdoors vis-a-vis socialization). He's got a great apetite though, which i totally adore and sincerely hopes he maintains this positive dispostion to feeding. He gets fed twice a day (which probably violates feeding requirements for his age). However, I find myself helpless in this regard due to my daily itinerary coupled with my bachelor status (yeah!! I live alone).
Hope he turns out a stellar ambassodor of this new breed. Weaving the best traits of both originating breeds into one magnificient package.
