(Minature Pinscher and Japanese Chin mix) The Chin-Pin is not much of a shedding hybrid. As a general rule the coat will be short, but can be longer and silky if it inherits the coat of the Japanese Chin.
This breed is loving and great with children. They are adaptable to apartment living, full of energy and they love to explore. They enjoy long walk. Some may be difficult to train.
The Miniature Pinscher has been in existence for about 200 years. He originated in Germany and was used as a ratter. Not to be confused with the Doberman. The Japanese Chin is believed to have gotten its start in China. It was later received as a gift to Japanese nobility who in turn gifted this canine to an American - Matthew Perry in 1853.
Brushing once per week and perhaps wiping the Chin-Pin with a damp cloth should keep the coat clean and silky. Be watchful of moisture accumulating in the ear.
The Chin-Pin will make a great family pet, but is best suited for older children. He is a happy and energetic hybrid. He is curious and will chase other animals, so beware if a door opens, he\'ll probably lead you on a merry chase. For this reason, he should be on a leash unless in his yard. Also note; they tend to be climbers as well.
If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of DogProblems.com. Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site.
Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.
• Bilbo is a wonderful - fully vetted - lovely little 6 lb 1-year-old Chihuahua. He is neutered - HW- and house trained. He is playful and likes people of all ages - and other dogs. He loves to be near his people and is the most loving and well-behaved sweetheart. He will bring u so much joy. Bilbo has Addison's disease - also known as hypoadrenocorticism. It is a disease that results from the reduction in corticosteroid secretion from the adrenal gland. The adrenal gland is a small gland located near the kidney that secretes several different substances that help regulate normal body functions. Some of the most important products that it secretes are called glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids. Addison's disease occurs with regular frequency in the dog population. It is difficult to recognize initially, but once it is diagnosed, it can be successfully treated. Bilbo currently requires a monthly injection, which you will need to continue, and depending on your vet, will cost anywhere from $10-$60/month. He is available for adoption through Cody's Friends http://www.codysfriendsrescue.com/ and his adoption fee is $200, which includes a PetSmart coupon book worth hundreds of dollars’ worth of savings including MANY freebies! Come meet this precious fur baby this weekend at the Addison PetSmart - Address: 3800 Belt Line Rd, Addison, TX 75001
