(Basset Hound and Welsh Corgi mix) The Corgi Basset is a medium sized hybrid. Usually he has the Basset Hound stature of the long body length. But his looks can differ greatly depending on the dominant parent breeds. Look for his coat colors to be tan, black and tan, or red.

The Corgi Basset is an adventurous dog with a very curious nature. He will do his best to command your attention. He has a history of being a hunter of small prey, so be aware if he sees a rabbit, he is off on the chase. He is also known to dig holes in the yard. But he has a lower energy level than you may think and makes a nice family pet.

Ideal Environment

This hybrid doesn\'t thrive well in cold climates. If he is in this type of climate, short times out of doors with a sweater or coat will be necessary. A good sized yard to keep him on the move and a couple of short walks per day will help keep him from becoming obese.

Dog Training!

If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site. Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.
