Crestoxie Q&A

We just adopted our Morkie almost a week ago where she was living in a dryer less humid climate. She now has a cough and I am worried about her. The breeder said that we can give her children's allergy medicine 1cc 2x/day. Anyone else have suggestions.

Your dog may have kennel cough and need antibiotics to treat properly. I suggest checking her out with a veternarian.

My morkie has the same problem. I went to the vet a week ago and they gave him a humidifier treatment with antibiotics. That helped tremendously but they also suggested delsum for children and no smoking in the house or around them. Hope your little guy feels better!

My Morkie had the same problem when he was around that age when I brought him home, my vet told us not to worry and that it was "reverse sneezing". Apparently it is common with these small dogs. As he got a bit older, he doesn't do it that much anymore

I ALSO HAVE A MORKIE THAT IS NOW 3 MONTHS OLD SHE ALSO CAME HOME WITH A COUGH WHEN SHE WAS 8 WEEKS OLD AFTER TAKING HER TO THE VET WE HAVE HER ON BENADYL TWICE A DAY IF NEEDED BUT ALSO AN ANTIBIOTIC SHE HAS BEEN ON THIS FOR ALMOST A MONTH NOW . SHES GETTING BETTER BUT SLOW PROGRESS

that is normal for that to happen when she first moves in somewhere keep doing what te vet said and make sure to make her as comfterbal as possible

get a humidifier, it will do wondering for the puppy and you also..it has to be used for awhile and the puppy will stop after awhile coughing.

our 9 week Morkie had the same coughing problem, vet put her on an antibiotic for a month, it's been 2 weeks and she is finally feeling like a puppy again. she's was very lethargic for the 1st two weeks of the antibiotic, now she is full of energy. she still has some coughing spells but they are fewer and further between, look forward to a full recovery soon

My Morkie as young puppy had a terrible cough that wracked her whole body I took her to the vet and she gave her a antibiotic that cured the problem although it continued sporadically for 2 months. My breeder said she was fine but it turned out she also had an ear infection Wow big change in personality sp playful and sweet I recommend the vet's advice not the breeders unless he went to veterinary school

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmm is dont know what to say
