Doxi Scots are warm, loving and devoted. They enjoy their lap time. As puppies they are daring, curious and enjoy chewing. They mostly only bark during play. They need to be properly socialized with other dogs and people from birth. They are known to be semi-stubborn and will need crate training.

This is our Doxie Scot, she is very friendly and affectionate. As a pup she needed to be crate trained, she would chew and everything she could find. But being very smart and keeping her active she caught on quick and stays out all day when we are at work. She barks at the vacuum but other than that never barks. Great dog, good with kids when trained and properly exersised (if not has potential to be a terror of the house with lots of energy) I would suggest this mix.

Possessive/protective of us. Loved to ride in any vehicle with us. Did not dig, but would chase squirrels and make the geese on the pond fly up. Slept well on our bed.
