It is a designer dog which is a cross between the Pekingese and a Miniature Pinscher. One should not go by their size as these small dogs are full of energy. A curious thing about this loyal and affectionate breed is that they are always curious about eating everything that comes their way. They should be socialized early if there are more pets in the house as they like to be the sole pet of the house and take all the attention. The average life expectancy of this breed is 12-15 years.

Character

One should not go by their size as they are fearless, tough, and affectionate. They are not meant for families with small children as they do not like to be handled roughly. A tough breed while training, a Peke-A-Pin needs a lot of time and patience. Peke-A-Pin dogs do not like to be in the company of other pets in the house, so early socialization is very important for them. The Peke-A-Pin does not like to be left alone, so they are the ideal dog for the people who work from home or seniors. These dogs are wary of strangers and start barking to announce the slightest presence of a stranger to alert the family. These traits make them a good watchdog. Another thing which owners need to be careful about is that they should always be on a leash when in public as they tend to wander off, as an added precaution people should also have a more secured fence at home.

Dog Training!

If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of DogProblems.com. Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site. Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.
