User added info

This is a small but huge personality dog which has been created by crossing the Pomeranian and a Silky Terrier. They are an intelligent, fun loving, and affectionate breed which will stick by your side. If spoilt, they can become possessive and demanding. Adult supervision is recommended when they are around small children. If trained and appropriately treated, they become loving and adorable pets who would do anything to win over the hearts of its family members. Their life expectancy is between 12-16 years.

Character

The Pom-Silk is a small dog which is filled with energy and affection. They are very loyal, intelligent, and quick to learn. They like to learn new tricks and are always ready to play. They should be supervised when around small kids and if socialized early and thoroughly they even adapt with small children with whom they have grown up with. The Pom-Silk does not get along with other pets as they tend to become pushy. They are recommended for firm owners. Otherwise, they become demanding and bossy. This, in turn, leads to behavioral changes leading to excessive barking. All this can, however, be avoided with proper training.

Ideal Environment

The Pom-Silk is an energetic dog and must be given her adequate time of exercise and activity. They like following the owners around the house or yard and even love to go on walks. However, when taken outside the house ensure they are on a leash as they tend to chase small creatures. They can also be taken to the dog park once they have been socialized. These intelligent dogs respond to training and learn quickly. They can stay in both apartments as well as houses as long as they get their exercise and activity time.

Dog Training!

If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of DogProblems.com. Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site. Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.
