Bathing any dog removes natural oils from the dog's coat. Try not to bathe your Pom much, and use dry shampoo if possible. Hoping this helped. i have been a groomer for around 11 yrs i have met many dogs that get a bath once a week including my 1 yr old pom as long as you use a mild shampoo and remosturizer your pom should be fine. You should bath your pomeranian twice a month. You should bath your pomeranian twice a month. You should bath your pomeranian twice a month. My vet and groomer have told me to wash my dogs when they need it. Sometimes they get dirtier than others, just like kids. Don't wash them too much though. If they stay inside more, they shouldn't need too many baths. If you want to wash them more often, use gentle soap and you may need to condition their coat. It also depends on your dog's skin. My 1st Poms skin was very dry. My vet told me to use Ivory soap bar. It is also the best thing to get rid of flees. Lather them up, let it sit for about 5 minutes and you will see the flees fall right off. It's gentle enough for their skin, but good enough to get rid of the flees. Great product! |
