Maintenance

The coat of the Poochis would depend upon the one it inherits from its parents. It can either be a long or short and curly or smooth. This breed does not shed a lot from its coat. It is advised to brush their coat regularly if it inherits a long coat, the short hair ones can be brushed every alternated day. It is advised to bathe them only when required using a mild dog shampoo. Professional grooming is recommended in a few months. Ears should be checked for dirt build up and cleaned using soft cotton wool. As they are prone to dental issues, it is recommended to brush their teeth daily, such as to maintain good dental health.

Ideal Environment

A small but energetic dog they need at least 30-45 minutes of exercise and activity every day. This should, however, be divided into three smaller sessions. They love going for short walks around the neighborhood and also if socialized properly they will love to visit the dog park. The owners must also provide for toys inside the house, such as to keep them busy. It is very important not to leave them alone for long intervals of time and also exercise them properly otherwise, this would lead to boredom and even behavioral changes making them destructive. This small breed can adapt well in apartments but thrives in a house with a fenced yard where they can play.

Dog Training!

If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of DogProblems.com. Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site. Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.
