The Pushon is an adorable dog which brings together the best features of the Bichon Frise and the Pug. It is the ideal dog for the house as they adapt to even the apartment style of living with ease. The Pushon loves to be around people and craves attention. They turn to bark loudly in the presence of strangers. The Pushon is so loving that they cannot be ignored and like the other small dogs often get demanding, bossy, and spoilt. It has a life expectancy of 12-14 years.
add infoThe Pushon is a faithful companion dog, and they expect to be loved just as much as they love the family members by performing tricks and entertaining everyone. Their sweet nature makes them the perfect family pet as they even develop strong bonds with other animals with whom they grow up. They like staying indoors rather than outdoors, so adapting to small houses is also not a problem for them.
add infoThere are often arguments that the mixed genetics in hybrid dogs often reduces the health risks, these arguments, however, do not have any scientific proof and also come with a flipside possibility that the laws of genetics, on the one hand, can diminish as well as amplify the health issues. Below are some health problems to which the Pushon can be at risk to as their parents suffer from the same, as no exact official data is available: Major Concerns Patellar Luxation Cataracts Canine Hip Dysplasia (Chd) Legg-Calve Perthes Disease Idiopathic Epilepsy Minor Concerns Corneal Ulcer Flea Allergy Ear Health and Infection Dry Eye
add infoWith documented history from the 1990s, the Pushon is a cross breed between the Pug and Bichon Frise, and there is very little data available.
add infoThe maintenance requirements of the Pushon are dependent on the genetics which they have derived from their parents for an example a few inherit the short coat of the Pug whereas some inherit the soft long fluffy coat from the Bichon Frise. Now whereas the short coat would require minimum maintenance, the long coat of the other hand would need to be brushed daily and also need occasional trimming. Whereas they do not need frequent baths, they love a warm bath and pampering at times. One should check their eyes and ears regularly.
add infoThis is a very active dog which enjoys physical activities such as tricks, games, or walks. Their active nature and energy levels make them ideal for playing with children. Pushon\'s also like to play with their toys as well. Even though their active nature gives them plenty of exercise inside the house, the Pushon still need their daily walk for the sole purpose of socializing as they enjoy the time they spend at the dog park and even do not hesitate in playing with larger dogs. Some Pushon which inherit the pushed face from the Pug face problems during hot weather, so it is advised to take them out during the cooler part of the day.
