The Shepadoodle is energetic, athletic and intelligent. Most have a warm, loving nature and do well with children as long as they are socialized from birth. They are quick learners and training is easy. This breed is known to potty train easily after some initial crate training. The Shepadoodle is known to be a high energy breed and will need sufficient exercise to maintain a well balanced dog. It enjoys hiking and time spent outside. A well exercised Shepadoodle is a happy Shepadoodle.
The Shepadoodle is hypoallergenic and doesn’t shed.
Generally the Shepadoodle is non-shedding, but some are known to be shedders. If shedding occurs, it is light shedding for the most part. The hair and dander of the Shepadoodle does not appear to affect those with allergies.
The Shepadoodle requires outside time each day as well as regular walks. This breed is capable of running up to 6 miles and will still have energy to spare. This breed is well suited to life with other dogs.
If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of DogProblems.com. Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site.
Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.
This is Toby. Were were told by his parents owner that he was a pure shepherd, but there's no way. He doesn't really shed; a hair here or there; and is extremely smart. His mother was a pure Sable GSD, and they thought the father was their pure white GSD, but that can't be the case. We did a lot of research and googled images. He looks exactly like http://trustyourcape.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/20120201-211855.jpg?w=812 this dog. The vet confirmed that our suspicions were correct. He is a shepadoodle. In this photo, he's about 4 1/2 months old in this picture. He weighed about 45lbs at the time. He is the best dog with "his" baby. They were born 3 days apart; Toby on 10/19/2012 and Carly on 10/22/12
