I have a 7 month old Vavalier and she has just started to go on heat. How long do they usually stay on heat for? And she doesnt really eat her own food, she always wants ours what can I do to get her to eat her food?

All dogs are different and there's no set time for them to be in heat, normally around 3 weeks is a rough guide,however you should really allow 10 days after she has stopped bleeding before you take them out again, they are more susceptible to interest from other dogs then and are at most "risk" to fall pregnant at that time.
