A puppy should be at least 8 weeks if not more before it is taken away from its mother. I suggest calling and reporting the breeder to animal services and the AKC we have shichon an got her when she was 4 weeks old. the lady said it would 6 or 8 weeks old bfore we could get her but she was going on a trip and said to pic her up. she will be 8 weeks on the 13th of this month and she is doing fine, but the 1st week i thought she would die. so far so good. she is really active and seems like she can't get enough to eat. i give her what her size needs an won't let her have nemore till feeding time. we got milk from vet and some soft puppy food an warmed and mixed it.i think thats what worked. but i have 2 beagles that were weened to early also an now one is about 45 lbs an the other 25 to 30. i hate that you lost your puppy. I had a Schnauzer with 7 puppies that lost their mother at 4 weeks. I started feeding them semi solids since I couldn't get them to take a bottle. They all lived and did great. Yes I have a 11 week old puppy she is sweet. Most puppys do leave a place where you bought it until 8 weeks old and checked out by a vet I bought my Shu-Tuz Bishon mix in NJ there is a puppy lemon law. I am so sorry to hear about your puppy . I am so puzzled to hear the puppy had passed . Did you go back to the place where you bought it. I know how you feel I lost my Bishon in May she was so sweet and was like a good friend she knew when I was ill. You see I have fibromyalgia and could not walk at first and she was my bed buddy. She was groomed and well loved. As I was holding her she passed in my arms and blood comming out her mouth I had a hard time with her passing . My husband on Fathers day we went for a ride. We went to the place where we bought our Bishon and it was not the same place as we knew. So we were going home and went in a place it was nice and clean. You just have watch were you buy them so sorry |
