I have a Shiranian called Belle, she is 10 months old. I walk her for about an hour each day where she loves to run at great speed chasing birds and at weekends runs with my son. I walk her through woodland and golf courses. She carries a pine cone in her mouth during the whole walk. I know she feels cheated if she is unable to have a long walk each day. A 2OMIN WALK SEEMED BEST OVER THE YRS...BUT HE ALSO LOVED TO SWIM IN OUR POOL..LOVED GAMES,LIKE THROWING A STICK ,HIS FAVORITE WAS PLAYING BALL WITH A TENNIS BALL...THE LOVE ANY TYPE OF EXERCISE THAT YOU'LL DO TOGETHER & THEY WILL BE THE BEST FRIEND YOU'LL EVER HAVE!!!! I MISS OUR BOY!! My Girl Luna Jean is 4 months old and I have to take her for a walk every day she just loves to walk. she enjoys the snow and walking along the trails in the woods. I get tired before she does. I have actually walked her for two hours and she still wants to go. I try to walk her at least an hour a day no less than half an hour. She has so much energy she needs it. She walks fast and plays alot while walking. After the walks she still wants to play outside she hates to come in the house. These little dogs need to go for walks :) I go by what my dog likes. After 15 minutes I say Let's go home! and he heads that way with no problem. We do that 3 times perday. |
