White boxers are more prone to medical problems, and are almost always deaf. Breeders registered with the AKC and CKC are not allowed to breed them, and if they choose to sell them, they must have the purchaser sign a non-breeding agreement (must be neutered or spayed). They are also prone to sunburn, skin conditions and sometimes neural problems. I have a 3 1/2 year old white male boxer. He is THE BEST dog ever!!! My daughter is 5 years old and when we first got him he was just over a year old, so she was little too and she would bite him, pull on his ears, ride him, pinch him, and anything else you can think of. Anyways, he never once growled at her, nipped at her or even come close to bitting her. In fact, if he thinks we are hurting her, he will growl at us. So, honestly if you are thinking of getting a white boxer, as long as they are not deaf, they are AWSOME dogs!!! |
