I work 4am-2pm, and my little wookie does great just hanging out. it sounds funny, but I noticed my shorkie prefers to be with another animal. so if you have another cat or dog, he/she should be great. I have not one time come home to a booboo on the floor. Shorkies love human companionship & it is not recommended they be left for more than one hour or so. I recently adopted a two year old Shorkie and he is often left alone for several hours when my husband and I are at work. As this is a concern for me also I asked a friend who knows a lot about dogs and she said that any type of dog will adjust just fine; they will get used to our routines. She also mentioned that Ceasar Milan has a great dvd in regards to this concern that will help answer any questions you may have. I work 8hr shifts and my shorkie does just fine. He is just over 3 months old I am a single non parent so its just me and the little guy. I have cameras where I watch him and he has a whole bin full of all kinds of different toys to play with. I always have his toy bin turned to the side with the back of the bin against the wall so he is able to choose for himself what he wants to do with his time <3 He is my little stinky butt boy. So onrey and so rotten but when I get home he gets so excited he cannot stand it, he starts grunting like a little pig because he is so happy :) He completes my life, makes me laugh I am his & he is mine. |
