American Bulldog Q&A

Yes, I am buying my first ever puppy today, a morkie, and I have NO clue what to do. I have an 8 year old cat who is very loving and I dont know how to integrate them? When is too soon? Is this puppy only allowed certain food for a few months? I also work 11am-7pm most days of the week and will this be ok? I am off for the next three days so I am going to do as much as I can with her but still I would really appreciate some direction!!

Hi, I also bought a Morkie puppy, and had a fear of adaptation with a cat, we have it for four years and suffered badly with dogs. After three days, when with us and enjoy being immature, they are now with our best friends Amy, so bitch do not suffer from loneliness when we are at work. Do not worry about it. When your cat you know that you still love it, everything goes well and enjoy lots of fun, watching their games.

You maybe be in for a hard time as Morkies need attention. I would suggest doggie daycare

I am sure you have your new baby already and I can say from experience as I have a little guy and you have made a great choice! My baby is so smart that I was able to potty train him in about a week. The key is consistency. He still will have little accidents if I don't get him out as soon as he gives me his "outside" cue. He is extremely loving and loves to cuddle and give kisses. He loves everyone he meets. However, he does not like to be left alone. The only advice I can offer about what to do while you are gone during the day is to check and see if someone in your area offers doggy daycare. As far as his food I feed him Science Diet food I buy at my vet's office. You have made a terrific addition to your family. Get ready to fall in love!

Really watch your puppy around the cat. My cat became too playful/aggressive and poked my puppies eye which led into an eye infection. So, I really had to refuree the cat and puppy when they play. If the play gets too aggressive, immediately remove your puppy from the cat and put your cat in another room. You might want to wait to introduce the puppy to your cat until he settles into his new environment and home. I would recommend leaving your puppy in a crate when you first introduce your cat for a while. Once your cat and dog get used to each other, then I would gradually let them sniff each other and sit in the same room together. Just really watch your cat. They will play with your dog like a mouse..you're puppy is very small and can easily get hurt.

Just stay calm around her they dont like people that are to wild it tends to scare them, play with it a lot and take it for short walks that progressivly get longer you will do fine you can not do to much though they have very bad knees

my morkie is gaining weight and i'm not sure if is healthy. do I need to put it on a diet or not?
