We adopted our rescued amstaf in May, estimated to be about 7 months old. We don't know her exact age, but based on her paperwork, we figured she was born in October 2010. We had a baby in September and have noticed that Chloe's temperment has changed since then. I am home with her and the baby full time and she is very calm and protective of Derrick. If I have him on the floor, she will lay down next to him. If I move from the chair and sit on the floor with them, she goes to sit in front of or on top of him. Is this an act of protection or is she looking for attention? She is also affectionate toward our older son and is very happy when he comes home from school. After a few minutes of excitement, she calms down. We have a problem when my husband gets home from work though. She gets overly hyper and goes after our 11 year old constantly. She is constantly peeing in the house after she has gone out for a walk. Short of choosing my dog over my husband, what can I do to fix this?
