best suggestion; take him/her to mans best friend. MENTAL STIMULATION!!!! Brain exercises wear them out faster than physical exercise! Look up everyting on the internet if you don't know. Remember to make it challenging but fun and rewarding!! I know... I have the same situation, it works. My Mini Aussie is almost two years, and I remember well the under a year phase. None of the \"intelligence\" toys worked for long. The Original Kong worked for a while but only if it was the paste and put in through the tiny opening. There is a round, weighted food dispenser that has one adjustable opening on the side and another opening under the top. It is shaped like a light bulb. The top is the small end and when you take it off, there is an adjustable hole on the bottom that feeds into the base... This has been the best so far! He never knows exactly what will come out and the same actions as before don\'t guarantee the treat. You can also make it harder and easier at each of the dispensers for extra stimulation. Sadly, I found this after the sofa and loveseat became de-stuffed! On the bright side, he now has a place he can pull the stuffing out of without getting in trouble! |
