(Azawakh, Tuareg Sloughi) Azawakh Hounds are a sighthound that is exceptionally elegant and extremely leggy. They are fine-boned and very lanky, yet they posses well-developed muscles that enable them to run at great speeds. Their bone structure and musculature is visible beneath their thin skin. Their bodies are rectangular in shape, with their longer sides in vertical position. Azawakh Hounds have a short, fine coat that may or may not be flecked. Their coat exists in a number of shades, and a black mask may or may not be present.
