History

The Banter Bulldogge was developed by a man named Todd Tripp in the late 1990’s. Todd Tripp wanted to create a modern version of the Brabanter Bullenbeisser that was prevalent in Belgium in the 1700’s. In order to achieve his vision, Todd Tripp crossed boxers and various other working bull breeds. Much careful research and selective breeding took place before the Banter Bulldogge was created.

I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site. Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.

Banter Bulldogge Q&A

Ask a Question
Photo

Yes, I was looking into adding on to our family. I have done some research and it appears that the Banter Bulldogge would be a perfect fit to our family. We have a small mixed male dog about 13 pounds and I would like your opinions on male or female, tempermant and where to locate a puppy. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have two Banter Bulldogge puppies, both 9 months old, also a 15 year old Basenji (30 pounds) and a 10 pound Boston Terrier. All play very well together, the Banter puppies infact change gears when playing with the older/smaller dogs and play well. Infact, my neighbor has 3 Miniture Yorkies who all play very well together. Honestly, I think with any dog, you must socialize you dog with others young so they learn to play well together.

Do Banter Bulldogges drool?

My Banter Bulldogge does not drool at all. He is a year old now and we have never had that problem.
