when we first got our bluetick he had food aggression. we could never go around him and we had to feed him seperate from my parents dogs just in case, he was a stray when we adopted him. but after we moved out we broke him of it. you just have to show him whos boss, yell and raise your voice. if you have the voice it really works. now my cat eats his food and he just waits for her to get done. i would not put him down. and if he does bite a guest maybe he just does not like him He is showing aggression because you allowed him to show aggression. When he growls and you back up and/ or leave him alone, he wins. So of course he's going to do it again- it worked! You must convey to him that behavior is not acceptable. |
