There's 5-year old Canary dog up for adoption. He is typically as profiled in this site. As his current owner (our neighbour) is unable to look after him and have to give him up, we would love to adopt him but have some reservations because we already have another large 5-year old dog (mix of Rottweiller - German Shepherd breeds). Our dog is adopted from SPCA, and very gentle, no aggression, loving and obedient, and comfortably settled as our family member for 3 years. We have some concerns about the 2 dogs getting along although they don't seem aggressive towards each other. Can an old dog get used to a new owner, especially if he's the type that is loyal, devoted companion to his current owner? Is adoption advisable? Are there other concerns that we should be made aware of?
