If you are thinking about getting a Cane Corso, I would recommend getting one as a puppy. This will prevent future aggression if you socialize it at this age. They absolutely love their family but you need to make sure gran kids feed them and give them commands. As with all dogs they need to know they are bottom of the pack. Very very intelligent and very loving. They hate being left alone for long periods. My corsos are happiest when they are by my side or on my knee. Great companies but need a firm hand and lots of interaction with other animals from very young. One if mine was badly treated and I rescued her and she hates strangers especially men. My other isn't bothered about strangers and won't even take food off someone she doesn't know. My 7 yr old son can put his hands in her food and Fred her and she enjoys it. Very gentle with him the other gets constantly watched as was abused her first yr. They chew until their about 2 and a half when left to their own devices first month is critical for training then you have the best breed ever :) never play fight though as it's putting you down to the dogs level. They love learning to stimulate their clever minds. They also have empathy and know your feelings. This is rare Amazing breed just needs to be with an experienced large dog owner.
