All three puppies in this litter were fixed, and one of the dogs was given to a man by the name of Grant Milionta. Mr. Milionta’s dog was named Snooz, and many admirers wanted a dog just like her. After careful planning and research, Mr. Milionta decided to create a breed based on Snooz. With the help of Isabeau, Katushka, and Kawika, Mr. Milionta is managing to carefully breed the Carlin Pinscher for selected traits. The Carlin Pinscher is a developing breed, but it is not yet a purebred dog because of its lack of generations.According to the American Canine Hybrid Club, the cross between a Miniature Pinscher and a Pug is called a Muggin. The Carlin Pinscher has been separated from the Muggin because there will likely be additional breeds (apart from the Miniature Pinscher and the Pug) that will be used in the creation and development of the Carlin Pinscher breed. The Muggin is a hybrid dog, but the breeders of the Carlin Pinscher are attempting to create a pure breed.
The Carlin Pinscher has a smooth, short-haired coat that is easy to groom and maintain. They should be combed and brushed with a firm bristle brush, and bathed only as necessary. Stray hairs can be removed with a warm, damp washcloth. The Carlin Pinscher is an average shedder.
The Carlin Pinscher is perfectly content to live in a small household or apartment. They are active indoors and are happy without a yard. They are sensitive to cold climates and should be protected from harsh weather. They require a great deal of exercise, and they should be given the opportunity to run around and play. Owners should ensure that any yard in which this breed runs loose is fenced high enough to prevent an escape.
