Dogs are not people. They should never be offered what we have on our plates. This confuses them when it comes to who is the boss. the prob with table food for yorkies is that they have a better chance of developing diabetes. Yorkies are prone to liver and pancreas problems. You can cause a problem to occcur that might not otherwise happen. Also some foods are posionous, not just to Yorkies, but to all dogs. Please rethink this. I had and still have yorkies, My first one lived on table food and dog food and he lived to be 21 yrs old. Now my 4 that I have now eat dry dog food and canned dog food. my vet said if you are going to feed people food that is fine as long as they have NO fat. Veggies ,fruits.boiled chicken and boiled ground beef are fine. They are pron to pancreatiis.so avoid fat,grapes,onions and some others.You can buy a cook book for cooking for your dogs food but you will need to add vitamins to the food. I never feed my yorkie table scraps but to satisfy him when I eat a meal is to cut small pieces of apples, carrots, and bananas which are a healthier option. Remember, raisins, onions, and chocolate are all poisons to your dog.
