My doxy, can't bark. He sounds horse. IS there anyway to get him back to normal. OR could it be that he is getting old and he does bark alot.

I just rescued a 3 year old pregnant female from a puppy mill. She also has a strange quiet bark. Her voice box was removed.

I'd take him to the vet. He could also have a sore throat, I had a dog with tonsillitis, she recovered fine with some antibiotics.
