The Dakotah Shepherd is a developing breed that has yet to show any signs of aggression or poor behavior. They are a loyal, loving breed that is highly intelligent and easily trained. They can be utilized as herding, working, or agility dogs. They are gentle and enjoy spending time with children. Also highly adaptable, the Dakotah Shepherd is just as comfortable in a backyard as it is on a ranch or farm. They love to work, but they also love to go out and play with their family. The breed is not hyper or yappy, and they are generally a calm, quiet dog. They will alert their family of intruders, but they will not attack.
