Yes, they shed a LOT!!! My dogs kennel has a big hairy spot all around it. We have to vacuum two times a day. It is worth it for she has a great sweet personality. Boykins don't shed. That's what makes them great dogs. We had one for 15 years and she was a wonderful dog. I have a male boykin Spaniel and he sheds very little in the winter...more of a seasonal shedder to get rid of his winter coat. If you keep them brushed using a curry comb, it really helps. I agree about the sweet personalities of these dogs. I have had other breeds and he by far exceeds in intellegence, is so eager to please and the most loving dog I have ever had. |
