No, you don't want a cocker if allergies are involved they shed like crazy. Try getting a Poodle or Portuguese water dog if you want low allergy problems. A designer dog like Labradoodle, Goldendoodle or Cavachon can also be good for allergies. Labradoodles and Poodles are the best for low shed, low dander coat that is made of hair, not fur. I know of a boy with such severe allergies that he takes breathing treatments daily but can bury his face in his Labradoodle's coat and not have a single problem. NOPE!
