A piebald dominate color is not always white. They must have four white paws and a white tip tail. Some look like beagles with the dominate color being red, white, brown, brindled, etc. A double dapple is not an exceptable description by AKC guidelines. If you will go to AKC.org and look under Dachshunds it will help you a lot. A double dapple takes special care and consideration when breeding. Please read up on that before even considering breeding your puppy as the results can be devastating and heartbreaking. I have both double dapples and piebalds and will send you pictures if you would like. Regardles to what is the proper description for the puppy you have is, please learn all you can about it. Colors can be a caution sign. I hope I helped. PawPawPatch |
