Golden Retriever Q&A

I have a 4 yr. old salt and pepper, female mini-Schnauzer, and the light color of her coat has always been a pretty color, until recently. All four feet and around her mouth have started turning a redish brown color, and it's not dirt. Is there something causing this, and is there anything I can do about it?

It's a type of yeast, from getting the paws and face wet. Try to dry the face and feet more thoroughly, and it is safe to wash face and feet with witch hazel, to kill the yeast

It may not be anything to worry about because my dog kept licking himself and the vte said that it was just changing colors because of his saliva. Don't worry.
