Lhasa Apso Q&A

I walk my Baxter 2-3 miles every morning before going to work. He used to tire out but now he can go even longer. On the weekend, we walk or hike anywhere from 4-8 miles on a given day. How much is too much? Is it possible to walk them too much? He is pretty tired out by the time we are done on the weekend days and he crashes on the tile when we get home. But after a while, he is ready to go where ever I go and do whatever I do. Is there such a thing as too much?

Depends on what size your dog is? She will let you know when she is tired and can not go any further. Don't over heat her, and make sure they get enough wait. She's not a Lab.

He probably lays on the tile floor to cool down. Make sure he has plenty of fresh water during the entire hike! Bring it in something that will keep in cooler longer since you are gone for a long time. If he gets too tired, he will sit down & refuse to move until he's ready. They are not suicidal or stupid. Lots of water! As much as he wants.

Morkies have bad knees dont work him to hard
