I have to give my shih tzu two pills a day but she won't open her mouth for me and when I put them in her food, she smells it and won't it the pieces of meat with the pill in it. What else can I do to get her to take these pills?

Try putting the pills in a small amount of peanut butter. My Shorkie loves peanut butter and swallows the pills with no problem

The only thing that works for me is hiding it in a scoop of sour cream that I put in my hand and feed it to my dog. She finds it in everything else.
