The Chow Chow puppy's tongue starts to change color after about 8 weeks. It is a gradual change and can take up to 16 weeks. Some Chow's tongues may not turn completely purple however, with the majority of the tongue being purple with some spots of pink. If you are showing your dog, this may put it in the negative. Chows are the greatest dogs in my opinion. Their loyalty, intelligence, protective nature and beauty are only a few of their wonderful attributes. You've obtained a friend for life. Please introduce them to people and allow them to socialize, to aid in their sometimes territorial nature and protecting nature, especially children. |
