I have a six year old male and a two year old female Morkie. Our male one hundred percent preferred my company and often ignored my husband. The first couple of weeks we had our female were long ones, our male spent two weeks pouting in another room. Once he realized what a great play mate she was he warmed up to not only her but he now seeks out my husband for an occasional snuggle. I would recommend getting a female only. I think you should let your daughter or husband do all the feeding for awhile. You probably take care of all your dogs needs, but letting them step in your dog will come to depend on them. A dog is only trying to find their place in the pack and if he was the runt he would of had to fight for every bit of food and affection from his doggy mom, which is what he is now doing with his human mom. Hope this helps mnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn have your famly hound him and have them take him for walks |
